The Story
The 100 Moms Project was born from a heartfelt conversation between Jill, a Boudoir Photographer and Relationship Coach and Courtney, an Esthetician at Natura Skin Boutique. As they caught up over coffee, they reflected on a shared truth—too many moms pour endlessly into others while neglecting themselves.
As mothers who work in the self love space, Jill and Courtney, know firsthand that self-care isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. So many moms put themselves last, whether by default or circumstance, without understanding the compounded weight of responsibility, the power of self-investment and the belonging and community it can bring as a byproduct . A mom who feels supported, cared for, and empowered shows up differently in her life. She cultivates a growth mindset, radiates confidence, and elevates those around her. That realization sparked a bigger vision—to create something tangible for the women of Western New York.
The 100 Moms Project is the first step toward that mission. This initiative will help fund To the Roots, a nonprofit dedicated to providing self-care services and luxury experiences to moms who need them most. Because when moms thrive, families and communities do too. Join us in making self-love accessible to every mom.

Why This Project Matters
When we support the mother's in our community, we aren't just supporting her, but every person that woman touches. Her children, her partner, her friends, and coworkers.
When she is supported everyone in her life feels the impact.
Photography in itself is a time stamp. It gives us the ability to mark a moment that you may look back upon with wonder, excitement, and transformation.
This project to photograph 100 women is to give them that experience of being seen for who they are right now- not who they used to be or who they will become but for all that they are right now!
The mission of this project is twofold, give moms a change to give back to themselves with self care and connection while also support future moms do the same for themselves.
And the bonus we also are support our own woman owned business here in Western New York.

When mothers are supported, they are
more likely to be engaged in their communities, volunteer, and contribute to local economies

Photography, Buffalo NY, Bookish Sets

There’s something magical about stepping into a space that feels like it belongs in another world.
A little darker. A little moodier. A little more romantic.
And this one is fill with old books.
I’ve been working on a new set inside my Buffalo photography studio, and I think this one might be one of my favorites yet:a cozy, bookish little reading nook designed for intimate, moody, and completely unique photography experiences.
Discover a moody, book-filled sanctuary in the heart of Buffalo, NY—designed for individuals who crave a unique photography experience that feels like stepping straight into the pages of a beloved novel.

I wanted to create a space that felt like you could curl up with a book, light a candle, throw a blanket over your legs, and disappear for an afternoon.
So I started collecting.
And collecting.
And collecting.
Old books from thrift stores. Stopping in free book sales. Finding interesting textures. Frames. Candles. Little pieces that felt like they had a story of their own.
After what felt like dozens of stops at thrift stores and book sales, the little corner finally started coming together.
The result is a layered, cozy space filled withold books, soft fabrics, candlelight, moody shadows, and warm textures.
Here in our Buffalo, NY studio, we’ve curated a bookish book nook that feels like a secret corner of an old-world library. This is more than a backdrop—it’s an invitation to inhabit your own fantasy narrative while we capture it through thoughtful, professional photography.
Whether you’re a reader, writer, cosplayer, or simply someone who loves the romance of an overstuffed bookshelf, this set is crafted to make you feel like the main character. The atmosphere is intimate and calm, perfect for solo portraits, branding sessions for bookish businesses, or dreamy couples sessions that look like stills from a period drama.

One of my favorite things about photography is that I don't want you to simply show up, stand in front of a backdrop, and smile for the camera.
I want you to experience something.
That might mean stepping into a completely different version of yourself for an afternoon.
It might mean feeling sexy.
It might mean feeling soft.
It might mean putting on something you wouldn't normally wear, crawling into a pile of blankets with an old book, and letting yourself play.
That's especially true with boudoir photography.
A boudoir session doesn't have to look like everyone else's boudoir session.
Your photographs can be romantic, playful, dramatic, cozy, mysterious, sensual, or all of those things at once.
That's why I love creating sets like this one.
Instead of asking you to fit yourself into a particular aesthetic, we can use the space to help tell your story.

The magic of this set begins with the candles. Safely placed among the shelves and on small side tables, their gentle glow adds depth and warmth, creating a soft, flickering ambience that feels immediately cinematic. The candlelight set the mood for a perfect day and give the perfect amount of glory to your skin.

Layered fabrics are draped on the floor and throughout the space, blankets and warm fabrics perfectly places, and cozy reading nooks, bringing texture and movement into every frame. Think velvety throws, gauzy curtains, and soft cushions that make you feel right at home.

Our moody lighting is the final, essential layer. Shadows and gentle highlights sculpt a scene that feels intimate and immersive. The result is a photography style that leans into subtlety—perfect for fantasy-inspired portraits, dark academia vibes, or soft, romantic storytelling.

My studio is designed to be a place where you can experiment, play, slow down, and see yourself differently.
Whether you're interested in boudoir photography, an intimate portrait session, or simply want photographs that feel likeyou, we can create something that doesn't look like the standard studio session.
And because I’m constantly creating new sets, your experience doesn't have to look like anyone else's.
One season you might find yourself surrounded by books and candlelight.
Another might transport you somewhere completely different.
That's part of the fun.

This bookish book nook set is designed specifically for individuals who want more than a standard studio backdrop. Every session is guided and relaxed: we’ll help you choose poses that feel natural, suggest ways to interact with the books and fabrics, and adjust the lighting to match the mood you’re envisioning—whimsical, melancholic, romantic, or boldly dramatic.

If you’ve been searching for a unique photography experience in Buffalo, NY that celebrates your love of reading, storytelling, and fantasy, this set was created with you in mind. From the first flicker of candlelight to the last turned page, every detail invites you to slow down, sink in, and let your own story unfold in front of the camera.

This new book nook will be making its full debut this fall at my Buffalo studio, and I already have so many ideas for what we can create here.
Bring your favorite lingerie.
Bring a cozy sweater.
Bring a book.
Or don't bring anything except yourself.
We'll create the rest together.
Because the best photography experiences aren't always about getting the perfect photograph.
Sometimes they're about creating a moment where you feel completely, unapologetically yourself.
And maybe leaving with a few photographs that remind you just how good that feels.
