The Story

The 100 Moms Project was born from a heartfelt conversation between Jill, a Boudoir Photographer and Relationship Coach and Courtney, an Esthetician at Natura Skin Boutique. As they caught up over coffee, they reflected on a shared truth—too many moms pour endlessly into others while neglecting themselves.

As mothers who work in the self love space, Jill and Courtney, know firsthand that self-care isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. So many moms put themselves last, whether by default or circumstance, without understanding the compounded weight of responsibility, the power of self-investment and the belonging and community it can bring as a byproduct . A mom who feels supported, cared for, and empowered shows up differently in her life. She cultivates a growth mindset, radiates confidence, and elevates those around her. That realization sparked a bigger vision—to create something tangible for the women of Western New York.

The 100 Moms Project is the first step toward that mission. This initiative will help fund To the Roots, a nonprofit dedicated to providing self-care services and luxury experiences to moms who need them most. Because when moms thrive, families and communities do too. Join us in making self-love accessible to every mom.

Why This Project Matters

When we support the mother's in our community, we aren't just supporting her, but every person that woman touches. Her children, her partner, her friends, and coworkers.

When she is supported everyone in her life feels the impact.

Photography in itself is a time stamp. It gives us the ability to mark a moment that you may look back upon with wonder, excitement, and transformation.

This project to photograph 100 women is to give them that experience of being seen for who they are right now- not who they used to be or who they will become but for all that they are right now!

The mission of this project is twofold, give moms a change to give back to themselves with self care and connection while also support future moms do the same for themselves.

And the bonus we also are support our own woman owned business here in Western New York.

When mothers are supported, they are
more likely to be engaged in their communities, volunteer, and contribute to local economies

Moms who prioritize self-care
experience 40% lower rates of anxiety and depression, leading to better overall health (National Institute of Mental Health)

Kids with moms who practice self-care are

Intentional Dating

Dating today can feel confusing.

Apps move fast. Conversations stay surface-level. People often meet without really knowing what they want — or without sharing it honestly.

Intentional dating is a different approach.

Instead of hoping the right relationship happens by chance, intentional dating is about showing up with clarity, honesty, and self-awareness. It’s not about putting pressure on every connection. It’s about being aligned with the kind of relationship you truly want.

And when you date this way, the experience becomes more meaningful, less exhausting, and far more connected.

What Is Intentional Dating?

Intentional dating means dating with awareness and purpose.

It involves:

  • Knowing your values

  • Being honest about what you want

  • Choosing connection over distraction

  • Prioritizing emotional safety and compatibility

This doesn’t mean every date needs to be serious. It simply means you’re not dating on autopilot.

You’re present.

Curious.

And open to real connection.

People who practice intentional dating often find they attract partners who are more emotionally available and aligned with their lifestyle.

Why Many People Struggle With Dating Right Now

Many relationships struggle before they even begin because people are unclear about:

  • Their relationship goals

  • Emotional needs

  • Boundaries

  • Communication styles

  • Relationship expectations

Without clarity, dating can turn into guessing games or mixed signals.

Intentional dating helps shift the experience from confusion to connection.

Instead of asking:

"Do they like me?"

You begin asking:

"Are we actually compatible?"

That shift alone can change everything about a connection

The First Step: Get Clear on What You Want

Before you can build a healthy relationship, you need to understand yourself first.

Some helpful questions to explore:

  • What kind of relationship do I want to create?

  • How do I want to feel with a partner?

  • What values are important to me?

  • What does emotional safety look like for me?

  • What am I no longer willing to accept?

This kind of clarity makes dating feel calmer and more grounded.

You stop chasing validation and start looking for alignment.

Intentional Dating Is About Honesty (Not Perfection)

One of the most attractive qualities in dating is authenticity.

Intentional dating invites you to:

  • Be honest about where you are in life

  • Communicate openly

  • Move at a pace that feels right

  • Respect your boundaries and your partner’s

You don’t have to overshare or rush intimacy.

Instead, you create space for connection to unfold naturally — while still staying aligned with your needs.

Questions That Create Real Connection on Dates

Intentional dating often includes deeper conversations earlier on — not in a heavy way, but in a curious, open way.

Here are a few questions that can help people connect more meaningfully:

  • What does a healthy relationship look like to you?

  • What makes you feel most appreciated?

  • What are you currently growing through in life?

  • What helps you feel emotionally safe with someone?

  • What are you looking for right now in dating?

These types of conversations help people understand each other beyond surface attraction.

And that’s where real compatibility begins to show.

Intentional Dating Builds Stronger Relationships

When people date with intention, several things tend to happen:

Communication improves.

Boundaries become clearer.

Trust builds faster.

Emotional intimacy grows more naturally.

Intentional dating doesn’t guarantee a relationship will work out — but it greatly increases the chances that the connections you build are healthy and fulfilling.

And just as importantly, it helps you avoid relationships that aren’t aligned.

A Different Way to Approach Dating

Instead of thinking of dating as something stressful or uncertain, intentional dating invites you to see it as a process of discovery.

You’re learning about another person.

But you’re also learning about yourself.

Every conversation, every connection, every experience helps you better understand the kind of relationship you truly want to create.

And that awareness is incredibly powerful.
