“THE DAY I DECIDED THAT MY LIFE WAS MAGICAL, THERE WAS SUDDENLY MAGIC ALL AROUND ME.”-Marabeth Quin
This summer, we hosted our first annual Summer Banger. It was a day filled with connection, joy and celebration! Our group photo session, BARE IN THE WOODS, was inspired by the female form and her connection to nature.
Our group photoshoot, BARE IN THE WOODS captured the essence of this connection, creating memories and images that represent the interwoven support and purpose that nature holds for us. As women, we too, thrive in an environment that is nurtured, cared for, and collaborative.
Seeing these women come together as one, in the woods, among the trees, with their feet in the dirt, brought me a true sense of harmony and bliss. The energy was strong, and the experience was nothing short of sacred.
Here are some of our most favorite images from the day that capture the essence of our connection and the beauty of nature.
Also known as Shinrin-Yoku, forest bathing involves immersing yourself in the forest atmosphere. It's a simple practice of walking slowly through the woods, breathing deeply, and taking in the all of your sense; sights, sounds, and smells. This practice helps reduce stress, boosts mood, and enhances overall well-being. Gather a group of friends and experience the serenity and grounding effects of the forest together.
Practicing meditation and yoga outdoors can deepen your connection to nature. The natural environment enhances the benefits of these practices, grounding you and helping you feel more present. Find a peaceful spot in a park, beach, or forest, and let the sounds of nature guide your practice. Connecting your breath with the rhythm of the natural world can be incredibly rejuvenating.
Earthing or Gronding is the practice of physically connecting with the Earth by walking barefoot on natural surfaces like grass, sand, or soil. The idea is that by making direct contact with the Earth's surface, your body can absorb free electrons from the ground, which are thought to have various health benefits such as reducing inflammation, improve sleep quality, decrease stress and anxiety, enhance mood, booth your immune system, and increase energy levels. Those who practice grounding report feeling more balanced and connected to the earth, experiencing a sense of calm and well-being. Next time you are feeling stressed or unclear try this practice and see what possible benefits you can experience.
I hope this inspires you to find your own ways to connect with nature and with the incredible women around you. Let’s continue to nurture these bonds and celebrate the beauty of our shared experiences.
